Chennai Box-Office - June 5 to 7

Monday, 8 June, 2015, 05:59

It was the last weekend before educational institutions reopened, and the footfalls were good at the box-office. Suriya's Massu in spite of mixed reports held on to its number one position in its second weekend due to his star power and bigger screens in multiplexes.Massu had stiff competition from Kaaka Muttai, which got raving reviews and almost 100 % occupancy, though in smaller audis. Kaaka Muttai is in the number two position and some single screens like Maharani which started with one show made it three by Saturday. At number three is Demonte Colony, which is turning out to be a super hit due to good word of mouth and marketing. In the fourth place is Jyothika’s 36 Vayadhinile which continues to rock and at number five is high end multiplex Hindi film Dil Dhadakne Do.
