Monday, 12 June, 2017, 05:53The big news at the CBO this week is that there has been a drop in those visiting multiplexes and single screens, as schools have reopened. And India’s terrific performance at the Champions Trophy in England is keeping, the weekend audiences glued to TV.
Baahubali2 after a historic record breaking six weeks at the number one slot on CBO has finally dropped to the number five position. The film has grossed around Rs 18.5 Cr in six weeks, a record which will be difficult to surpass in the near future.
In the number one position this week is Tom Cruise’s The Mummy, which released on Thursday with paid matinee premier shows. The action film took a big drop on Saturday, as the critics and masses alike did not like the film.
In the second place is Gautham Karthik’s Rangoon, which carries good reports from the critics and is being liked by the multiplex audiences. At number three is Vikram Prabhu’s Sathiriyan, which carries mixed reports. And in the fourth place is Wonder Woman, which is rock steady in its second week.
