Soon after he was sent to jail in the actress’ molestation case, the then newly formed Film Exhibitors’ Union (FEUOK) had removed actor Dileep from the post of President. Producer Antony Perumbavoor became the President.
A day after he got bail, Dileep was offered to become the President of organization by the FEUOK leadership, which the hero has refused now.
In a letter addressed to the General Secretary of FEUOK, Dileep has said that he is not interested in taking official responsibilities of any organization in the current situation.
FEUOK was formed after a serious split in the Film Exhibitors’ Federation led by Liberty Basheer, following the theatre strike in December last year.
Now, this move could have certain other implications as well. Dileep was expelled from the AMMA leadership soon after the arrest. Now there is a certain group in the actors’ forum who believes that it was a decision taken in a haste.
Now that he is back on bail, the film organizations believe that the Janapriya Nayakan as Dileep is popularly known, is back in the industry and is eager to bring him back to its helm.
