Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi's crime thriller ‘Vikram Vedha’ has been confirmed to release on July 21.
Previously, the makers of Vikram Vedha had plans to release the film on July 14 but got postponed due to theater owners' strike on the double taxation.
The regional censor board officials had originally issued A certificate to the film but later, the producers approached the revising committee to get U/A certificate.
Directed by Pushkar-Gayathri duo, Vikram Vedha also has ‘Kirumi’ Kathir, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, John Vijay, Shraddha Srinath and Prem in important roles.
Loosely based on the famous Vikramaditya-Vetala tale, Madhavan plays an encounter cop Vikram in the film and Vijay Sethupathi plays a deadly gangster. PS Vinod has cranked the camera for the film and Sam CS is in charge for the music.
Produced by Sashikanth of Y Not Studios, Ravindran of Trident Arts is distributing the film in Tamil Nadu.
